What Is The Correct Order To Claim My Pebblebee Device?

When setting up your Pebblebee device, it’s important to follow the correct order for a smooth experience.

The correct order is:

  1. First, claim your device with a tracking network (Apple Find My™ or Google's Find My Device™).
  2. Then, set it up in the Pebblebee app to unlock extra features and get firmware updates.

Step 1: Claim Your Device with a Tracking Network

Your Pebblebee device uses either Apple Find My™ or Google Find My Device™ for location tracking.

Choose one network and follow the instructions below:

You can only use one network at a time. To switch networks, you'll need to reset your device to factory settings.

Step 2: Set Up Your Device in the Pebblebee App

Once your device is claimed to a tracking network, you can add it to the Pebblebee app to access advanced features like firmware updates and customizable instructions.

To claim your device in the Pebblebee app:

  1. Open the Pebblebee app.
  2. Tap the plus button on the top
  3. Select the Claim Device option
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

What If I Try to Claim the Device in the Pebblebee App First?

No worries—nothing will go wrong. If you attempt to claim your device in the Pebblebee app before claiming it to a network, the app will:

  • Recognize that the device hasn’t been assigned to a network yet.
  • Prompt you to claim it first in Apple Find My™ or Google's Find My Device™.

Once that’s done, you can return to the Pebblebee app and complete the claiming process.
