Set up Left Behind notifications

The Left Behind feature offers another method for preventing lost items. When enabled, the phone will sound a loud alert if it notices your Pebblebee device has been completely out of Bluetooth range of the phone for too long (between 5-15 minutes).

How to use Left Behind on the Pebblebee app

  1. Please make sure you have accepted and turned on our required permissions
    1. We require these permissions as Left behind works with motion data to track if you're leaving behind your Pebblebee device since the last time connected over Bluetooth.
  2. Open your device detail
  3. Enable Left behind.
  4. Preview and select the jingle you want for your phone to ring when your device is left behind.
  5. That's it.
    Note: For the Left Behind to work your should keep the Bluetooth of your phone ON all the time so it can detect when your device goes out of range.
Enable Safe zones

On the Pebblebee app, you can enable safe zones to avoid receiving Left Behind alerts when your are at a known place like your home or office. Safe zones are created per device.

First of all, make sure you have a Safe Zone enabled. Then:

  1. Tap on Safe Zone under the Left behind section on your device details.
  2. Click on the + sign on the right top corner of the screen.
  3. Zoom in and out on the map until you find the place you want to create the location.
  4. Tap on the screen to place a circle.
  • To move the circle, tap and hold on the yellow dot.
  • To resize the circle, tap and hold on the white dots on the circle line. Move them to increase or decrize the circle size.
  • Use the + and - size to zoom in ou out on the map.

How to use Left Behind on Apple's Find My app

  1. Open the Apple Find My app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap on a device.
  3. Under Notification, enable "Notify When Left Behind".
  4. Add locations where you don't want to receive Left Behind notifications.

Left Behind on Google's Find My app

Google's Find My Device currently doesn't offer a left behind feature.
