Do My Devices Sync Between Apps?

Updated by Nico Gutraich

If you're using the Pebblebee app, Pebblebee Tracking app, or a network app like Apple Find My™ or Google's Find My Device™, you might be wondering:Will my devices automatically sync between them?

The answer is: No.

Each app operates independently, meaning devices registered in one app will not appear in another.

How the Apps Work Separately

Apple Find My™ & Google's Find My Device™
  • These apps handle all tracking and location services.
  • Devices claimed to one of these networks will only appear in that network’s app.
  • The Pebblebee app does not sync or exchange data with these network apps.

Pebblebee App

  • Used for firmware updates and extra features.
  • Devices claimed in Apple Find My™ or Google's Find My Device™ must be added separately to the Pebblebee app.

Pebblebee Tracking App

  • Alternative to Apple Find My or Google's Find My Devices app.
  • Supports older Pebblebee devices (like Finder, Found, and Honey).
  • Does not sync with the new Pebblebee app.
  • If you have devices registered in Pebblebee Tracking, they will not appear in the new Pebblebee app and must continue being managed there.

What This Means for You

  • If you claim a device in Apple Find My™ or Google's Find My Device™, it won’t show up in the Pebblebee app automatically—you’ll need to add it manually.
  • If you're using Pebblebee Tracking, your devices will not transfer to the new Pebblebee app.
  • All three apps—Pebblebee, Pebblebee Tracking, and the network apps—work independently and do not sync data.
