Transitioning to PB Legacy

We’re excited to share some updates about the Pebblebee app! With new advancements in tracking technology, we’re evolving our app ecosystem to better suit your needs and improve how you interact with Pebblebee devices.

What’s Happening?

The current Pebblebee app will soon be renamed PB Legacy. It will remain available indefinitely for users of our legacy products and some newer devices.

PB Legacy: Keeping Your Devices Supported

What is PB Legacy?

PB Legacy is the same Pebblebee app you’re using today but with a new name and a gray logo to mark the transition. This app will remain available for legacy Pebblebee devices and some newer ones.

Supported Devices

PB Legacy supports:

  • Older devices: Honey, Finder, Finder 2.0, Black Card, and Found LTE.
  • First-generation Clip, Card, and Tag: These devices worked with Apple’s Find My™ network and were also supported by the Pebblebee app.
  • Second-generation Clip, Card, and Tag:
    • Devices that work only with Apple Find My™ network or only with Google’s Find My Device™ network will continue to function on PB Legacy.
    • Universal models will continue to have limited compatibility on PB Legacy, used mainly for firmware updates, while their full functionality is designed for Apple’s or Google’s networks.

Key Features

  • Continue managing your current devices.
  • Perform over-the-air updates for second-generation Clip, Card, and Tag.
  • Track legacy devices that are not compatible with Apple or Google’s networks.
Our Recommendation: If you’re using second-generation of Clip, Card or Tag we encourage you to connect them directly to Apple Find My™ or Google’s Find My Device™ for a better tracking experience.

What This Means for You

If You Use PB Legacy

  • You don’t need to do anything! PB Legacy will remain available for as long as you need it.
  • You can continue using PB Legacy with your current devices, including legacy models and some second-generation devices.
