Live Location Sharing
Live Location Sharing is an advanced safety feature within Pebblebee Alert that lets your Safety Circle see your real-time location when you trigger an Alert. It helps your trusted contacts follow your movements during an emergency for up to 24 hours.
How often is my location updated?
Your location updates every 5 seconds based on the phone that triggered the Alert.
How long does Live Location Sharing last?
Each session can last up to 24 hours from when the Alert was triggered.
- If you mark yourself as Safe, the session ends immediately.
- If 24 hours pass, the session ends automatically.
What happens if my phone battery dies before 24 hours?
We’ll keep showing the last location received before the phone turned off. Live updates will resume if the phone powers back on and reconnects before the 24-hour limit.
What if my phone loses cellular connectivity or GPS signal?
We’ll display the last known location until we receive an updated one. Once your phone reconnects, the map will update automatically.
Who can see my live location?
Only members of your Safety Circle can view your live location. This link is private and expires after the session ends.
Does it work internationally?
Yes. Live Location Sharing works anywhere in the world as long as:
- Your phone has cellular connectivity, and
- Location Services are enabled for the Pebblebee app.
Do I need to have location services enabled?
Yes. Live Location Sharing requires that your device’s Location Services and permissions for the Pebblebee app are enabled. Disabling them will end the live session.
Is my location stored after the session ends?
No. Live location data is not stored after the 24-hour session ends. We only keep a record in your History that Live Location was active during the Alert.
Is my information shared with anyone outside my Safety Circle?
No. All Live Location information is never stored beyond the active session and is never shared with anyone outside your Safety Circle.

What happens if I trigger Alert again after 24 hours?
A new Live Location Sharing session will start, with a new private link sent to your Safety Circle.
Can I pause Live Location Sharing without stopping the Alert?
No. Live Location Sharing is linked directly to your Alert status—stopping it requires marking yourself as Safe.
