Understanding Your Pebblebee's Button Presses

Your Pebblebee has a built-in button. Its location depends on which device you have:

Your Pebblebee device uses different button presses to perform different actions. The timing and number of presses are important, so follow the instructions below carefully.

Press and Hold

What it means:
This provides the battery status of the device.  For clip, it will show green, yellow or red.  For card, the lights will light up 5 being fully charged.  How to Charge Your Device and Check Your Pebblebee Battery Level.

How to do it:

1. Press the button firmly.
2. Keep holding the button.
3. Wait until you hear a sound or see the LED indicator.
4. Release the button.

Two Button Presses

What it means:
Double button press puts the device into pairing mode for pairing with Google Find Hub OR Apple Find My apps.  Getting Started with Your Clip, Card, or Tag  It can also trigger the "phone finder" feature once the device is paired and phone finder feature is enabled in the Pebblebee app.

How to do it:

1. To pair: 
   •  Double press and release for pairing to Google or Apple
   • The device will beep and light up showing you it is in pairing mode 

2. To activate Phone Finder:
   Double press and release if using the phone finder feature- (note the device has to be paired to Google OR Apple AND the Pebblebee app with phone finder enabled)

 Five Button Presses

What it means:
Pressing the button on the device 5 times is used when pairing your device to the Pebblebee app. Getting Started with Your Clip, Card, or Tag

How to do it:

1. Press the button on the device 5 times in a row- the device will beep to pair with the Pebblebee app

Multi Button Presses

What it means:
Rapidly pressing the pebblebee clip Universal or Gen 5 will make the device alert a loud sound. How to use the Clip Alert Feature for Safety and Peace of Mind

Used for:

• rapidly press the button on the device more than six times quickly. This will activate the loud alert sound from the clip. (Please note you have to have the device paired to the Pebblebee app for this feature)
