Install your LÔC8 in a golf clubUpdated a few seconds ago
For the easiest installation, set up LÔC8 before installing it in your club. Once the grip is installed, accessing the button on top of the device will be more difficult.

Before you begin
Complete setup in this order:
Connect LÔC8 to your tracking network:
Use Apple Find My or Google’s Find Hub to play a sound and confirm that LÔC8 is working.
You will also need:
Your LÔC8
The grip you want to install
Any tools or supplies required to remove and install your golf club grip
Important: Set up LÔC8 with your tracking network and the Pebblebee app before installing the grip. Pairing and firmware updates require access to the button on top of LÔC8.
Need help? If you’re not comfortable removing or installing a golf grip yourself, we recommend having LÔC8 installed by a golf professional or club repair shop. See Professional installation below.
Remove the existing grip
If your club already has a grip installed:
Carefully remove the existing grip from the shaft.
Remove any old grip tape or residue.
Clean and dry the end of the shaft before continuing.
Follow the grip manufacturer’s instructions and use appropriate tools when removing the grip.
Apply grip tape
Apply golf grip tape around the end of the shaft as you normally would when installing a new grip.
Make sure the tape is properly secured and does not prevent LÔC8 from fitting into the end of the shaft.
Insert LÔC8
Before inserting LÔC8, identify its orientation:
The button end is the top.
The battery end goes into the shaft first.
To install:
Position LÔC8 over the opening at the end of the shaft.
Insert it battery-side first.
Carefully slide LÔC8 into the shaft until the top of the device sits flush with the end.
Do not use excessive force. LÔC8 should sit securely without damaging the device or golf club.
Important: Before continuing, make sure LÔC8 has already been claimed and set up with your tracking network and the Pebblebee app. This is your last easy opportunity to access the button before installing the grip.

Install the golf grip
Once LÔC8 is properly positioned:
Install the golf grip over the shaft using your normal grip installation method.
Slide the grip fully into position.
Align the grip correctly with the club.
Allow it to set according to the grip or grip-solvent manufacturer’s instructions.
Make sure the finished grip is fully secured before using the club.
Test LÔC8 after installation
Once installation is complete:
Open Apple Find My or Google’s Find Hub.
Select your LÔC8 from your item list.
Choose Play Sound.
Confirm that you can hear LÔC8 inside the grip.
If LÔC8 responds, installation is complete.
Your golf club is now ready to be located through Apple Find My or Google’s Find Hub.

Don’t want to install LÔC8 yourself?
A golf fitter or club professional can remove your existing grip, install LÔC8, and regrip the club for you.
We recommend setting up and claiming your LÔC8 before visiting the installer, so they only need to handle the physical installation.
