Return an item with Pebblebee LinkUpdated a few seconds ago

Found an item with a Pebblebee Link QR code? Scan it to notify the owner, optionally share the item’s location, and exchange private messages to arrange its return.

You do not need the Pebblebee app or a Pebblebee account.

No usable QR code? If the Pebblebee does not have a QR code—or the code is damaged, covered, or inaccessible—see Return a found Pebblebee without a usable QR code.

Scan the QR code

  1. Open your phone’s camera.

  2. Point it at the Pebblebee Link QR code.

  3. Tap the notification that appears.

  4. Confirm that your browser opens a secure page on pebblebee.link.

  5. Review any recovery message left by the owner.

Notify the owner

Select Notify the Owner to send an anonymous notification that their item has been found.

You may also choose to share your current location. Location sharing is optional and happens only after you approve your phone’s location request.

If you prefer not to share your precise location, send a message describing a general or public location instead.

Send a private message

Select Get in Touch to send the owner a private message through Pebblebee.

Include helpful information such as:

  • Where you found the item

  • Where you left it

  • When it can be collected

  • How you would prefer to arrange its return

For example:

I found your bag near Gate 12 and left it with the airport information desk.

Receive a reply

The owner receives your message by email.

If prompted, enter an email address where you can receive their response. Replies are delivered through Pebblebee’s secure messaging system, keeping both email addresses hidden.

You can continue coordinating the return by replying to the emails you receive.

Privacy note: Your contact details remain private unless you include them in the message yourself.

Return the item safely

  • Use a public meeting place whenever possible.

  • Consider leaving the item with a lost-and-found desk, front desk, transit authority, or staff where it was found.

  • Do not share your home address unless you are comfortable doing so.

  • Do not attempt to unlock or access the owner’s device or personal information.

  • Stop the conversation if anything makes you feel unsafe.

Thank you for helping return someone’s lost item.
