Setting Up and Managing Your Pebblebee Safety Circle
Your Safety Circle is an essential part of the Alert feature on your Pebblebee Clip. When you trigger an alert, your trusted contacts automatically receive an SMS notification with your location, allowing them to respond quickly if you need help.
Before You Start
The Alert feature for Clip includes one Safety Circle member by default.
If you subscribe to Alert Live, you can add up to five Safety Circle members.
The Alert feature works only through the Pebblebee App. You can continue using Apple Find My™ or Google’s Find Hub for location tracking.
How to Invite a Safety Circle Member
Open the Pebblebee App.
Tap the + (plus) icon in the top right corner to add a member.
Enter the person’s name, phone number, and relationship.
Select whether they should be your primary contact.
Tap Save and Send Invite.
Your contact will receive an SMS invitation to join your Pebblebee Safety Circle. They’ll be directed to a secure webpage where they can accept the invite and review the terms and conditions.
Once accepted, you’ll see an “Active” badge next to their name in the Safety tab of your Pebblebee App.
Note: Only Active members receive alerts. Members with an Inactive or Pending status will not be notified.
Removing a Safety Circle Member
If you need to remove a contact or free up a spot in your Safety Circle:
Open the Pebblebee App and go to the Safety tab.
Tap the contact you want to remove.
Tap the trash icon in the top right corner.
Confirm the removal when prompted.
Once removed, that seat becomes available for a new Safety Circle member — whether the previous member was Active, Pending, or Inactive.
Joining Someone’s Safety Circle
If you’ve been invited to join another person’s Safety Circle:
You’ll receive an SMS invitation from Pebblebee or a link to safety.pebblebee.com.
Confirm your identity when prompted.
Accept the invitation.
You can be part of multiple Safety Circles — there’s no limit to how many you can join.
How to Leave a Safety Circle
If you no longer wish to receive alerts from someone who added you:
Visit safety.pebblebee.com in your web browser.
Log in using your phone number.
Enter the 6-digit verification code sent to you via SMS.
You’ll see a list of Safety Circles you belong to.
Tap the three dots (⋮) next to any Circle to:
Accept an invitation
Reject an invitation
Leave an active Safety Circle
Note: Leaving or managing Safety Circle memberships cannot be done in the Pebblebee App. You must access safety.pebblebee.com via a browser.
What a Safety Circle Alert Looks Like
When an alert is triggered, Safety Circle members receive an SMS message stating that their contact may be in distress, along with the current location.
If the alert is later canceled (for example, triggered accidentally), members will receive a follow-up message confirming the alert has been canceled.
Regardless of the alert status, it’s recommended that Safety Circle members check in to ensure the person is safe.
