How to Factory Reset Your Clip, Card, or Tag
Resetting your Pebblebee device restores it to its original factory state. This can help when switching between tracking networks or transferring ownership to a new account.
Example: You might reset your device if it’s currently linked to Apple Find My™ and you’d like to use it with Google’s Find Hub, or vice versa.
Before You Begin
Make sure your Clip, Card, or Tag is fully charged.
Locate the button under the Pebblebee logo on the front of your device.
Factory Reset Steps
Triple press the button, then press and hold on the fourth press for 15–20 seconds (no pause between the triple press and the hold).
You’ll hear three high-pitched beeps. Release the button during the third beep, just before it ends.
After releasing, you’ll hear a short jingle — this confirms the reset was successful.
Tip: If you don’t hear the jingle, repeat the steps carefully. Try pressing the button with a steady rhythm — one press per second.
Wait 30 seconds before pressing any other buttons.
To pair again, double press the button to enter pairing mode.
Forget the Device in Bluetooth Settings
If your device was previously connected to another account, you’ll need to remove it from your Bluetooth list:
Open your phone’s Bluetooth settings.
Look for a device named PB – [last 4 digits of the MAC address] (e.g., PB – 1A2B).
Tap it and select Forget or Unpair
What Happens When You Reset Your Device
Performing a factory reset erases all previous connections and data. Your device will return to its original, unlinked state.
Important: Avoid resetting your device while it’s still linked to a tracking app. Always remove it from your account first to prevent sync issues.
After resetting, you’ll need to pair your device again using Apple Find My, Google’s Find Hub, or the Pebblebee App.
