Understanding the Loc8

Overview

Pebblebee LÔC8 brings trusted item finding to the kinds of belongings that are often left behind, misplaced, or hard to track. Designed in a compact Pin form factor, LÔC8 embeds directly into cylindrical gear like golf clubs, bicycles and more. It works with Apple Find My™ for iPhone users or Google’s Find Hub for Android users, giving you access to the world’s largest finding networks while keeping your location private and secure.

Setting Up Your Loc8

1. Pairing with Google’s Find Hub (Android)

   1. Download and open the Google’s Find Hub app.

   2. Sign in to your Google account.

   3. Double-press the button on your Pebblebee Loc8. The device will beep twice and the LED will blink white, indicating it’s in pairing mode.

   4. A Fast Pair sheet will appear on your phone — follow the on-screen instructions to complete setup.

2. Pairing with Apple Find My (iPhone)

   1. Open the Apple Find My app on your iPhone.

   2. Tap Items at the bottom of the screen.

   3. Tap the + (plus) icon.

   4. Select Add Other Item.

   5. Double-press the button on your Pebblebee Loc8 top button. The device will beep twice and blink white to enter pairing mode.

   6. Follow the prompts in Find My to finish pairing.
      
      

Pairing with the Pebblebee App (Optional)

After pairing with either Apple Find My or Google’s Find Hub, you can connect to the Pebblebee App for keeping up to date with your Firmware version.

1. Open the Pebblebee App and sign in with your email address.

2. Enter the verification code sent to your email.

3. Tap the + (plus) icon in the top right corner.

4. Tap Claim Device.

5. Follow the instructions to press your device’s button 5 times. (If the device is not responding try pressing at a different pace slower/faster OR press the button a bit harder)

6. Continue following the prompts to complete pairing.
