  • Tags (Gen 2-Gen 4)

How to Check the Firmware Version

The process for checking your device’s firmware depends on the app you’re using. Choose the section that applies to you.

On Google’s Find Hub

Currently, it’s not possible to view your Pebblebee item’s firmware version in Google’s Find Hub.

To see if a firmware update is available, visit: How to update your device firmware.

On Apple Find My

Make sure Bluetooth is turned ON before you begin. You can check Bluetooth status in two places:

  • Control Center — ensure the Bluetooth icon is enabled.

  • Settings > Bluetooth — confirm Bluetooth is toggled on.

Then, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Find My app on your iPhone.

  2. Tap the Items tab at the bottom.

  3. Select your Pebblebee device from the list.

  4. Tap your device’s name to expand the details.

  5. The serial number and firmware version will appear (for example, Serial <16-digit-id> Firmware: 3.3.16).

How to Know if You Need an Update

  • If you see v.3.3.16 on any Gen 2 or Universal devices → You already have the latest firmware.

On the Pebblebee App

When a new firmware version becomes available, the Pebblebee App will notify you. You’ll see an Update button beside your device when it’s ready.

You can also manually check the firmware version:

  1. Open the Pebblebee App.

  2. Tap to select your device.

  3. Under General, tap Software Update.

  4. Bring your device close to your phone and tap Check Update.

Can I Downgrade My Device?
