Clip 5 FAQsUpdated 3 hours ago
Is Clip 5 an item tracker or a personal safety device?
Clip 5 is a rechargeable item tracker that also supports Pebblebee Alert.
It is not a dedicated personal safety device like Halo, but Alert lets you notify trusted contacts through the Pebblebee app when you need help.
Does Clip 5 support Pebblebee Alert?
Yes. Add Clip 5 to the Pebblebee app and configure Alert and your Safety Circle before using the feature.
Does Clip 5 have a recovery QR code?
Yes. The QR code on the back of Clip 5 uses Pebblebee Link to help someone contact you securely if they find your lost item.
The QR code is activated automatically when you add Clip 5 to the Pebblebee app. You do not need to scan or add it separately.
Does the QR code show Clip 5’s live location?
No. Someone must find Clip 5 and scan its QR code to start the recovery process.
Crowdsource finding is handled separately through Apple Find My or Google’s Find Hub.
Does Clip 5 work with iPhone and Android?
Yes. Clip 5 can use Apple Find My on iPhone or Google’s Find Hub on Android.
It can be connected to only one tracking network at a time.
Which app should I use first?
Set up Clip 5 with Apple Find My or Google’s Find Hub first. You can then add it to the Pebblebee app for Alert, firmware updates, QR-code settings, and other supported features.
Is a subscription required to locate Clip 5?
No. Apple Find My and Google’s Find Hub do not require a Pebblebee subscription for item finding.
Some additional Pebblebee safety features may require a subscription.
